1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MathToWord ("the Service"), operated by MathToWord ("we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at www.mathtoword.com, all associated subdomains (including converter.mathtoword.com, translator.mathtoword.com, splitpdf.mathtoword.com, and mergeword.mathtoword.com), our AI-powered conversion tools, and any related services.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. By creating an account or using any of our tools — including the Math to Word Converter, Image to Text Converter, Hindi Handwriting OCR, PDF to DOCX tools, and all other conversion utilities — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use License & Permitted Use

Permission is granted to use MathToWord for personal, educational, and commercial use. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title. Under this license, you may use our AI-powered tools to convert documents, extract text from images, and perform other supported conversion operations for lawful purposes.

You may not use the Service to process content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our AI models, algorithms, or proprietary technology. Automated scraping, bot access, or bulk API calls without written authorization are strictly prohibited.

3. Account Registration & Security

Some features of MathToWord require you to create an account. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at mathtoword@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that appear to be involved in fraudulent activity, abuse of the free credit system, creation of multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, or any violation of these Terms.

4. Free Credits & Subscription Plans

MathToWord offers a limited number of free credits for document conversion. Free credits are provided without any obligation and may be subject to daily limits. We reserve the right to modify, reduce, or discontinue the free credit allocation at any time without prior notice.

Paid subscription plans (Starter and Pro) provide additional credits and features. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed on our Pricing page at the time of purchase. Payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Razorpay. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as specified in our Refund Policy.

Unused credits from paid plans do not carry over to the next billing cycle unless explicitly stated in the plan description. We reserve the right to change pricing, features, or credit allocations for any plan with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

5. Service Availability & Uptime

We strive to maintain service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service at all times. Maintenance windows, system updates, infrastructure changes, and unforeseen technical issues may temporarily affect service availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of planned maintenance that may disrupt access.

MathToWord relies on third-party cloud infrastructure, AI model providers, payment processors, and authentication services. Outages or disruptions to these third-party services may impact the functionality of MathToWord, and we are not liable for such disruptions beyond our reasonable control.

6. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

As a user of MathToWord, you agree to the following responsibilities and usage guidelines:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account or contacting support
• Use the Service in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations
• Not upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code that could harm our systems or other users
• Not upload content that infringes on the copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights of third parties without proper authorization
• Not attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt our servers, databases, or security mechanisms
• Not engage in any activity that could overload, damage, or impair the Service or interfere with other users' access
• Respect the usage limits of your plan and not attempt to circumvent credit restrictions through technical means

You retain full ownership of the files you upload and the converted documents you download. MathToWord does not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. However, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your files solely for the purpose of performing the requested conversion.

7. File Handling & Data Retention

Files uploaded to MathToWord for conversion are processed on our secure servers. We implement encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest to protect your uploaded content. After conversion is complete and the result is downloaded, uploaded files are automatically deleted from our servers within a reasonable timeframe.

We do not manually review, read, or access the content of your uploaded files except when required for technical troubleshooting at your request, or when compelled by legal process. For full details on how we handle your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The MathToWord name, logo, website design, AI models, algorithms, user interface, and all original content published on our website (including blog articles, tool descriptions, and documentation) are the intellectual property of MathToWord and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without our prior written consent. You may share links to our website and blog articles freely.

9. Conversion Accuracy & Disclaimer

MathToWord uses AI-powered optical character recognition (OCR) and document conversion technology. While we strive for the highest possible accuracy, AI-based conversion is inherently probabilistic and may not produce perfect results in all cases. Factors such as image quality, document complexity, handwriting legibility, and source file formatting can affect conversion accuracy.

Users are strongly encouraged to review all converted documents before submission for academic, professional, or legal purposes. MathToWord does not guarantee 100% accuracy and is not liable for errors in converted output used for critical applications.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MathToWord and its founders, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the total amount you have paid to MathToWord in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, by notifying registered users via email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
